Hamid Moussavian

Hamid Moussavian, M.D. was born in Tehran, and studied medicine at Tehran University. He completed his psychiatric training in the United States.

During his fellowship at Mount Sinai, he participated at the infant therapeutic nursery, working with the pioneers in the field of infant psychiatry, Dr. Herman Roiphe and Dr. Elenore Galenson, for two years, where he developed a keen interest in caring for infants, especially working with the dyad of mother and child.

His ongoing clinical observations of the last 45 years led him to investigate the effect of HIV in children and adults.

His latest book in this series, The Correlation Between Autism and HIV, is based on extensive case history and observation. Dr. Moussavian has expressed his wish to have investigative research done in order to demonstrate and support this correlation with the measurable and more precise tools of research.
